Purpose and Values

Our purpose and values

Chatoyer has spent thirty years making products with a single job: stopping contaminants before they reach Australian waterways, soil and stormwater systems.

Our mission

To prevent the pollution of waterways and protect the wider environment throughout the Asia Pacific.

Our vision

To be the trusted Australian manufacturer and distributor of environmental compliance products protecting waterways at home, and to earn that same trust in international markets.

What Chatoyer stands for

Safety

Our people work with industrial machinery, heat welding and heavy materials every day. We build a workplace where raising a concern is expected rather than tolerated. The same thinking shapes the products: equipment that fails on site puts people at risk, not just the environment.

Quality

Only materials and components our design team trusts go into what we make, and quality assurance runs from first cut to final inspection. A product checked only at the end has already absorbed the cost of the mistake.

Accountability

We manufacture it, so we own it. If something doesn’t perform, clients deal directly with the people who built it. There’s no supply chain in between.

People

We work with our clients and provide clear advice, responsive communication, and strict confidentiality. The best outcomes come from working closely with clients and resellers, not from selling at them.

Our environmental commitment

Making equipment that protects the environment only counts if we hold ourselves to the same standard in how we operate.

We recycle waste material from our fabrication processes wherever possible, and continuously look for ways to reduce offcut and packaging waste. We design for repeat deployment rather than replacement, which keeps material out of landfill and lowers the lifetime cost to our clients. We manufacture in Sydney, which keeps freight emissions down and supports Australian industry. And we engage Australian suppliers for specialty components in preference to importing.

It’s a straightforward position: we can’t credibly ask our clients to take environmental responsibility seriously if we don’t.
